Journalling is my number 1 tool when I am feeling overwhelmed. Our thoughts sound so different in our heads and getting them out on paper can give us so much clarity.
Plus there is no fear of judgement and it's a place to process without worrying what others think. For me, I see it as free therapy but if you would prefer to actually talk to someone book in for a chat.
My hope is once you have processed things you are able to talk to someone you trust about any difficult feelings that come up.
